We know that stepping into a new space can sometimes feel a little daunting, so we’re here to help you feel grounded from the moment you arrive. Our classes are truly for everyone, whether it’s your first time or your thousandth. Come exactly as you are. Below are a few tips to help you feel comfortable and confident for your first visit.

Note: All of our classes are open to everyone, but some will feel more accessible if you’ve built a foundation through our guided classes or your own practice. You can read all descriptions on the App or click here.

Book your first class

Our booking schedule opens each Wednesday for the next 7 days, Unlimited Supporter Members have additional access to book 14 days in advance. Click Reserve to book a class after you purchase a credit or membership.

Preparation before class

  • We recommend avoiding food for at least two hours before class; if needed, fruit or a light snack is a great choice.
  • Please arrive well hydrated, especially given the heated nature of our classes.
  • Come to class clean…body, mind, and spirit

What do I need for class?

A Yoga mat, mat towel, water, comfortable workout attire, and a willingness to try something new! We have rental yoga mats ($2) and mat towels ($3) available and a refillable water station in studio.

Arrive 15 minutes prior to class beginning

Arriving 10-15 minutes early gives our team time to greet you, get you checked in, and help you feel right at home. Just stop by the front desk and a Village team member will guide you from there. If you are on the waitlist, please note that any open spaces may be given out 2–5 minutes BEFORE class begins. To keep our space calm and disruption-free, the door closes at the start of class and late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

Why infrared heat?

Our heat has been intentionally chosen to support your body and your practice. We use a state-of-the-art Infrared Heating System to create a nourishing environment that feels supportive and invigorating. With minimal use of a forced-air system that solely heats the room, our infrared technology warms the body itself, reaching muscles and joints to encourage circulation, mobility, and ease. The sensation is sun-like and consistent, allowing you to move and breathe without the heavy humidity or stuffiness often associated with heated classes while also promoting cleaner air with fewer circulating allergens. Step into the space, move with intention, and experience a heating method designed to enhance and nurture your practice. Still searching for a non-heated class? Check out our Grounded and Yin class options.

Where are we located?

Our address is 1105 E. 52nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205, in South Broad Ripple. We are located right on the Monon with direct Monon access. We offer free parking directly in front of the building and on neighboring side streets. Please use our side door entrance.

After class

Spend as much time as you like getting to know your Village, browsing our selection of yoga gear, or using our bathrooms to freshen up and get on with your day!

Walking or riding your bike to class?

We encourage walking and biking at The Village! If you walk or bike to class, please let our receptionist know and we will add $2 to your account. Any account balance can then be used to purchase credits, memberships, etc. Be sure to toggle on “Use Account Balance” which automatically triggers the use of your account balance first prior to your credit card on file.

The Experience

Below are a few helpful details to support your practice and enhance the experience for everyone around you.

  • Sign in at the front desk before heading to the lockers or studio.
  • Remove your shoes before entering the studio.
  • No personal belongings in the studio. Bags, purses, keys, and especially cell phones must stay in the lockers provided. We encourage you to leave valuable items at home or secured in your car.
  • Keep the classroom cell-phone free. At a minimum, ensure your phone is silenced and stored in your locker for the duration of class. No photography is allowed in the studio unless approved by a Village instructor or staff member. The privacy of our villagers is of high importance and we like to keep the experience inside the studio. There are plenty of areas outside of the studio to take pictures if you choose and are welcome!
  • Avoid heavy scents or perfumes, as many in our community are sensitive or allergic. Thank you in advance!
  • Stay for the full practice. Once class begins, please avoid entering and exiting; staying through the end supports your experience and the experience of those around you. If you have to leave early please let the instructor know prior to the start of class and place your mat in a location close to the exit door. Please be mindful as you leave to respect your fellow villagers.
  • Have an injury? Please make sure to share any injuries or information that may be important to the instructor prior to the start of class. We ask that you place your mat close to the exit door so that if you must step out of class it is not distracting to your fellow villagers.
